EXERCISE

Regular exercise is especially important for people with diabetes. It helps with blood sugar control, weight loss, and high blood pressure. People with diabetes who exercise are less likely to experience a heart attack or stroke than those who do not exercise regularly.

Here are some exercise considerations:
Always check with your doctor before starting a new exercise program.
Ask your doctor or nurse if you have the right footwear.
Choose an enjoyable physical activity that is appropriate for your current fitness level.
Exercise every day, and at the same time of day, if possible.
Monitor blood glucose levels before and after exercise.
Carry food that contains a fast-acting carbohydrate in case you become hypoglycemic during or after exercise.
Carry a diabetes identification card and a cell phone in case of emergency.
Drink extra fluids that do not contain sugar before, during, and after exercise.

You may need to change your diet or medication dose if you change your exercise intensity or duration to keep blood sugar levels from going too high or low.

Does this sound familiar.

Often school owners try to run a full time business on part-time hours. By having Cage Fitness in your school this gives you the opportunity to offer adults a group training class early in the morning or even mid day before your younger students come in for their after school programs. Also there can be some lag time between classes at night. Why not fill that time with a 30 minutes group training class, Cage Fitness?

A Question for owners and Managers.

Do you have parents of students that have no desire to participate in martial arts?

Cage Fitness is your answer to this problem. It takes a certain type of person to practice martial arts, but Cage Fitness is for everyone; women, men, young and old. Since it’s a go at your own pace workout it’s not as intimidating as some martial arts classes can be. Also since there is no contact or partners there is little chance for the participant to get injured, not always the case with martial arts. Cage Fitness is the perfect way to bring in those students that are just looking to get fit, look great and have a blast doing it.

Hey owners.

Why is Cage Fitness different from other fitness programs?
Cage Fitness was developed in conjunction with The Martial Arts Industry Association (MAIA) and 9 time welter weight MMA Champion Matt Hughes. Matt is a huge advocate for health and fitness in general and is very excited about Cage Fitness and the success of the program thus far.
The most obvious benefit of Cage Fitness is the ability to bring in new members. You are going to do this by having the rights to use the notoriety of Matt Hughes’s name and image. This is a huge draw to have a celebrity fighter promoting for your school.
Cage Fitness also offers a great workout in just 30 minutes. The program achieves this by what is known as interval training. Interval training is basically performing exercises at your maximum effort, then slowing down or stopping to rest, then jumping right back into the max performance mode and then rest. With Cage Fitness you repeat these intervals 5 times, through 5-5 minute rounds with one minute breaks in between. That’s your interval. You start with a warm up to get the heart rate up and get blood flowing to the muscles, you will move into an upper body round where you are going to push your upper body muscles and end the round with a ground and pound. This is repeated through a lower body, Cage Combo round and Core/Cool Down round giving the participant the maximum calorie burning potential and helping increase metabolism.
All of the interval training is base around a 40lb patent pending Cage Fitness dummy adding the element of resistance to the workout. This is beneficial because not only are you burning calories, you are building lean muscle that will aid in burning calories while at rest and giving the participant the lean and toned look that is desired.
